What is Link For Today?

It is an experiment. Did you hear about The Million Dollar Homepage? I think that was a great idea. So I thought about something else. Well I admit this is not that interesting, but maybe it will also work. I dont't put a $1.000.000 goal, a few thousands are enough for me each year. And if I'm right it'll be more and more every year.

Fine, but how does it work?

It's easy. I'm not selling pixels. I'm selling a link for one day. Advertisers will be able to bid on the daily price. And why would they do that? Because of the traffic. If my assumption is right, slowly-slowly as the website will be spread by the net folks, more and more visitors will arrive every day. And as that will happen it will be a good enough place to advertise on. Of course by that time the other banners and text links will disappear from the site, leaving the homepage only for the daily advertiser.

In the beginning the daily link will be free. Everyone is more than welcome to suggest a link. The other thing you can do is spread the word to your friends. Post our link to forums. This is also a good business for you: your link will remain in the history and will get some visitors (especially at the beginning when there are not many links yet in the database) and it's also good for your page rank.
